Artisan Colour Acquires Mighty Imaging

Creates new Display Graphics division.

Big Picture

Artisan Colour in Scottsdale, Arizona, has acquired Mighty Imaging in Phoenix. As a result of the acquisition, Artisan will create a new Display Graphics and Print division.

"The addition of the Mighty Imaging print division made sense for our customers," says Doug Bondon, president of Artisan Colour. "It is consistent with our mission of providing the very best in pre-press color separation. We can now offer the marketplace large-format printed display and marketing material that will have the most accurate color output and highest degree of quality no matter what application from the project's conception to installation. We now have the freedom to work directly with our clients to create nearly anything that their imagination can conceive."

For the past four years, Mighty Imaging has had a storefront location in central Phoenix. In May, it will move in to a newly remodeled 9,300-square-foot facility within the Artisan Colour complex located in north Scottsdale.

The company will now boast an Océ Arizona GT350 UV flatbed, an Océ LightJet, and a Zund G3 digital router cutter, among other equipment. This mix of machinery, says Bondon, "will enable Artisan's clientele to take their message beyond the norm by providing exotic applications such as wood, metals, fabrics, wallpaper, glasswork, custom furniture and fine art to name a few."

Artisan Colour was founded in 1998 to provide clients with quality prepress work, including scanning, proofing, data management, photography, and other services.
