Avanti's Print Management System Fits Non-Traditional Operations
Including short-run digital printing and large-format graphics
Avanti's Print Management System enables print shops of all types to increase efficiency and service while reducing costs and accelerating turnaround times. The integrated, modular system can be adapted to each shop's unique way of conducting business and customized to different standards and guidelines.
The Demand Print module handles high quantity/low-revenue jobs. The operator estimates and creates the job, prices it according to formulas, adds it to job history, and charges it to the customer. Time and material for the job are automatically priced and accumulated.
Avanti's Electronic Accounting and Scheduling Interface (EASI) works with the Xerox DocuTech, DocuPrint, DocuColor, and iGen3 (all DocuSP versions only) series of printer/copiers. EASI can work independently or as a key part of the Avanti Production Management System.
To accommodate the different ways that wide-format graphics are priced, Avanti can structure jobs according to sq ft, linear ft, sq in., or any other measurements. The system also offers special customer-based, product-based, or turnaround-time-based pricing.
Other modules include a Job Jacket Module that automatically transfers estimate data into a job jacket and an Order Entry Module with a Change Order feature to record changes to the job while the job is in progress and prior to invoicing. With Avanti's Executive Information Module, customer-service reps can determine where a job is in production, when it will be completed, and whether it has already shipped. The Internet Link makes it easy for customers and off-premise sales reps to view job status as well.
For completed jobs, the Job Costing and Tracking Module provides a Finished Job Report that ensures that any expensive extras such as rush codes get billed. The Invoicing and Shipping Module then generates custom invoices and shipping forms (i.e. packing lists and shipping labels) and integrates with Great Plains Dynamics and other third-party accounting systems.
Version 6.5 of Avanti's Print Management System features an enhanced security system, new milestone scheduling features, and 25 additional standard reports. It also provides dynamic scheduling through Avanti's link to Microsoft Project as well as a link to Great Plains Dynamic Version 7 and an interface to Great Plains Small Business Manager Versions 7.0 and 7.5.
