Color Measurement and Management Symposium at Clemson
Technical program for industry professionals to discuss and share
Clemson University's Department of Graphic Communications (CUGC) is conducting a Color Measurement and Management Symposium Oct. 8-10 in Clemson, SC. During the 2 1/2 -day meeting, industry experts will explain and share their understanding of color-management systems and the controls necessary to make them work.
The symposium is for industry professionals who need to effectively communicate and reproduce color. Participants will learn about: the workflow for color reproduction; the calibration and use of color measurement devices; techniques for profiling scanners, digital cameras, computer monitors, proofing systems, and presses; and the application of these tools and techniques to ensure consistent and repeatable color reproduction.
In addition, an "across-the-printing-process" workflow will be considered to include flexography, gravure, screen printing, inkjet, offset lithography, and other printing processes. A full schedule of speakers and topics can be found on the CUGC website.
