DigiTrans Film from MacTac

A short-term vehicle wrap media.

Big Picture

New from MacTac is Imagin digiTrans JDT429, a film designed for short-term vehicle graphics, including bus, taxi, subway, and transit wraps, where removability is a necessity. The 4-mil soft-white calendered PVC film with a gloss finish is compatible with wide-format solvent, mild-solvent, and UV-curable printing.

The adhesive component of digiTrans bridges the gap between a strong bond and the ease of removal required to service the transit -graphics industry, reports the company. Boasting up to 2-years removability, digiTrans features a black opaque, semi-permanent, pressure- sensitive adhesive, which bonds quickly to the vehicle, yet removes easily when it is time to change out the graphic. It’s designed for application onto flat or slightly curved surfaces.

MacTac offers ICC profiles and printer settings at its website and suggests overlamination with its Permacolor overlaminates to delay color fading.
