FESPA is bringing its third FESPA Global Summit to London. The two-day event – which invites industry leaders of the digital wide-format community to address key issues, challenges, opportunities, and threats that are confronting the modern print service provider – takes place January 22-23 at the Brewery and Montcalm Hotel in East London.

The FESPA Global Summit will feature conference sessions, presentations, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. Confirmed speakers so far include: TBWA Singapore and TBWA London; Unilever; Jacky Morgan, director of marketing for Shire Business Group; and Tim Greene, director of InfoTrends’ wide-format consulting service (whose comments appear in the 2012 Industry Roundtable in the October issue of The Big Picture).

“The FESPA Global Summit aims to inspire delegates and stimulate fruitful discussions with print service providers, print buyers and owners, and industry leaders about the current and future issues affecting the industry,” says Neil Felton, FESPA’s managing director of exhibitions and events. “With the exciting and vibrant city as our backdrop, we look forward to bringing our five-star event to London for the first time. Consistent with our ‘profit for purpose’ philosophy, the mission of the Global Summit will be to help delegates – and the wide-format community at large – to build stronger, more innovative businesses that can thrive against the constantly evolving economic backdrop.”

The program will focus on market topics such as the importance of sustainability in print and purchasing, digital textile printing; market opportunities; and interactive business-building workshops, FESPA reports. The sessions will also include case studies from leading print companies and print buyers, as well as sessions from agencies and brands discussing the power of print in a integrated campaign. Also on the agenda: aviation graphics, digital print in the London Olympics, the integration of print with new media (QR codes, mobile engagement, etc.), and more.

The 2013 Global Summit is open to print providers, advertising agency representatives, and brand owners. Registration fee is approximately $832 ($767 for FESPA members).
