Fujifilm Announces Proofing Products

Inkjet papers and remote driver for PictroProof II

Big Picture

Fujifilm has entered the proofing media market with two inkjet proofing papers"? a Glossy and a Satin"?designed to work on the new Epson Stylus Pro inkjet proofing devices. Both are available in rolls 100 ft long in widths from 24- to 44-in. wide. The Glossy paper retails for $115 to $230; the Satin, $130 to $200.

In addition, the company has integrated a Remote Director driver for its PictroProof II color proofer. It allows users to drive the device directly from the Remote Director soft-proofing interface without the need for an additional RIP or other software, creating a hard proof with the push of a button.

Fujifilm is co-marketing the new Epson printers as the Fujifilm/Epson Stylus Pro line, and is offering the 4800, 7800, and 9800. All of Fujifilm's products are distributed through Enovation Graphic Systems.
