Fujifilm Unveils Taskero Universe
Suite of diagnostic tools for control of color management.
Fujifilm Graphic Solutions has unveiled its newest tool??"??"?a suite of diagnostic tools called Taskero Universe, which is designed to give print providers better quality control when it comes to color management. Taskero comprises three components: ColorPath Verified, Server Performance Management, and Hardware Performance Management.
The ColorPath Verified component enables users to communicate, control, and confirm color across a number of devices including monitors, inkjet and digital halftone proofers, and printing presses. Users are asked to verify color on every output by reading and validating a printed calibration strip that provides immediate feedback on the status of the device and its conformance with an established target.
The Server Performance Management module ensures each customer??"??"??s server is performing properly and running efficiently.
The Hardware Performance Management module monitors the hardware environment and gives users early notification of possible problems, so they can take action before a problem stops production.
At Graph Expo, Fujifilm also launched its C-Fit color and image-optimization software that uses Fujifilm??"??"??s Image Intelligence technologies to automate the improvement of digital images and reduce the need for manual image editing. The hot-folder-based software is designed to address the exchange and converting of images from RGB into CMYK workflows.
C-Fit takes RGB images from digital cameras and other sources and uses built-in tools such as face detection, skin smoothing, light source recognition, exposure and white-balance adjustment, and sharpness enhancement to create an optimized RGB digital master for each user??"??"??s workflow. An additional feature is Color Appearance Mapping, which maps the color gamut of the RGB digital master to the maximum gamut potential of the profiled target device. It allows users to convert files to CMYK without changing or losing the fell of the RGB image.
Also making its debut at the show was Rampage Systems??"??"?? new Rampage JVX v 10.3 workflow software also made its debut at the show, which Fujifilm Graphic Solutions is distributor for in the US. The software supports JDF imposition options including automatic step and repeat and imposition, remote job submission, and MIS integration. Features include: Pathway, used to create jobs; proofing enhancements; expanded screening options; reduced downtime; preflighting; auto trapping; job tickets; and queue management.
