Gimle, manufacturers of AbsoluteProof digital-proofing software, has introduced AbsoluteProof PRO. The new version supports the latest inkjet printers as well as Hi-Fi/multicolor workflows, including the company's recently announced Extrachrome orange and green inks for Epson Stylus Pro 4800, 7800, and 9800 printers. AbsoluteProof Pro's Intelligent Multi- Color Engine enables clients to proof CMYK, spot colors, N-color, Hexachrome, duotones, and tints. Base price for AbsoluteProof Pro: $7995. Gimle has also partnered with Color- Metrix Technologies to create a certified remote-proofing solution. The system comprises ColorMetrix's ProofPass pass/ fail indicator for instant proof feedback; an Apple Mac mini; an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 printer; and a GretagMacbeth Eye- One Pro spectrophotometer.
