Heidelberg's Summer University Emphasizes Business Skills
Global workshop set for July 14-20 in Heidelberg, Germany
"Operating a printing press is getting simpler all the time, but knowing how to run a company and win new customers is becoming more and more complex." says Bernd Schopp, director of Heidelberg's Print Media Academy. To help print-company managers update their knowledge and skills, Heidelberg's Print Media Academy will host a Summer University program July 14-20 in Heidelberg, Germany.
Managers from the print and media industry experience a week of concentrated, practical information about developments in management and technology. Heidelberg's Summer University is designed for participants who have at least two years of management experience and are already managers or moving into a new management position. The program addresses the state of the printing industry and current and future managerial trends. The course content is flexible and can be altered to fit the needs of the participants.
It will include workshops and presentations, case studies, exchange of experience, field trips to local print media companies, and development of personal action plans. Speakers include those with academic and practical experience such as Walter Dietl, Daniel Simonovich, Ralph Wiechers, Dr. Wolfgang Looss, Adriana Nuneya, Dr. Helmut Kipphan, and Will Mansfield.
The course will be conducted in English and costs $3100 EUR ($3579 US) which includes some meals, but does not include travel or accommodations. (Heidelberg University: www.print-media-academy.com or www.us.heidelberg.com)
