Big Picture

wide-format digital print dinosOdySea in the Desert, a shopping, restaurant, and entertainment attraction in Scottsdale, Arizona, presented Artisan Colour with a hefty assignment: transform a present-day concrete and metal building into a jungle reminiscent of the age of the dinosaurs. Plans for the “Pangaea: Land of the Dinosaurs” experience included 50 full-scale animatronic dinosaurs roaming through exhibits and recreations of the creatures’ prehistoric habitats, brought to life by wallcoverings, building wraps, floor graphics, and more.

Artisan Colour output nearly 8000 square feet of graphics for the immersive exhibit, printing onto 3M Controltac 180C vinyl with the shop’s HP 3000 Latex printer. A team of three installed the prints around construction workers, painters, and electricians also under deadline to alter the space over the course of three days.
