LexJet Introduces Solvent Inks and Media
Inks are 'hot swappable' with OEM versions.
LexJet, which only recently introduced its own aqueous inks, has now moved into the solvent-ink aftermarket with the introduction of its ProSolvent inks. The new inks--specifically designed for Mimaki, Seiko, Roland, Mutoh, and HP solvent printers--are an exact color-replacement for the OEM inks, reports LexJet, and no conversion steps are necessary. "We have extensively tested this ink solution and will guarantee our customers that the ink is 'hot swappable' with OEM inks"?requiring no line purging," says John Lane, LexJet vice president. "The ink solution is chemically a 'plug-n-play" with OEM inks"?requiring no modifications in color profiles."
In conjunction with the new solvent inks, LexJet also has announced its new Solvent Banner line. Compatible with solvent, mild-solvent, and UV-curable inksets, the new media line is available in rolls up to 126-in. wide. The Solvent Banner line includes:

Comprising Sunset Hot Press Rag, Textured Fine Art, Air Dried Fibre Matte, and Air Dried Fibre Gloss papers, the line features a scuff-resistant coating, is water-resistant, and can be protected with either solvent or water-based clearcoats and varnishes. Compatible with aqueous inks, the media is designed for watercolor and art reproduction, fine-art prints, color and black-and-white photography, fine photo editions, and fine-art output.
