Monitor-Profiling Software From Integrated Color

ColorEyes Display software is compatible with most monitors and color devices.

Big Picture

Integrated Color unveiled its ColorEyes Display monitor-profiling software at this year's PhotoPlus Expo. Built in cooperation with ICS and integrating that company's monitor-calibration technology, ColorEyes is compatible with most colorimeters and spectrophotometers, including GretagMacbeth's Eye-One and X-Rite's DTP-94.

ColorEyes Display features Direct Digital Control (DDC) for most Mac-driven monitors, and for Eizo, LaCie, and NEC LCD displays tied to a PC, along with dual monitors. DDC provides full control of monitor hardware"?for precise adjustments of white point, black point, and color balance. With this feature, users don't have to rely on on-screen controls to make adjustments.

ColorEyes can measure 100 or more color patches to ensure a smooth set of grays and a precise adaptive gray balance. It also features profile verification to test monitor, profile, and instrument accuracy; it can match luminance across multiple monitors (CRT or LCD); and can be used on up to three workstations.

Price: software alone, $185; bundled with X-Rite DTP94 colorimeter, $325.
