New DuraSol Display PVC Film From Sihl

Also adds 3833 Universal Instant Dry Canvas WR 350 to media line.

Big Picture

Sihl"?s new DuraSol Display is a satin-coated, tear-resistant, rigid PVC film with a waterfast coating for solvent and mild-solvent printers. Capable of rolling up for easy transport without damage, it is fast-drying with high stiffness, good lay-flat properties without memory effect, and offers a cardboard-like touch.

Graphics printed on DuraSol show high color brilliance, image definition, and long durability, reports Sihl. Designed for use as signs, pop-up displays, and short-term promotions, DuraSol is a direct-print replacement for self-adhesive vinyl on styrene. Available in rolls from 36- to 54-in. wide, DuraSol is available in Light, Medium, and Heavy weight version (12 to 18 mils).

In addition, Sihl has added to its artNow media line with 3833 Universal Instant Dry Canvas WR 350 satin. The cotton-based, single-weave canvas is dry to the touch immediately after printing with aqueous dye or pigmented inks and is flexible enough not to crack when stretched. It is waterfast without lamination, offers excellent light stability and long-lasting durability, and is available in rolls from 17- to 54-in wide.
