Qres Technologies Launches UV Printer Line

Modular F-Series HS machines offer expandable configurations.

Big Picture

Qres Technologies has released the F-Series HS UV inkjet printers for printing on virtually any flexible or rigid material. Each of the three models is outfitted with four Konica Minolta 1024i printheads; at any time, users can add an additional four for a dual-CMYK configuration and/or up to four heads for white, varnish, and spot colors. In dual-CMYK configuration, the F200 HS images up to 2583 sq ft/hr, while the F160L HS and F160 HS may reach speeds up to 2174 sq ft/hr. Max. resolution for the series is quoted at 2880 dpi.

Flatbed sizes range from 5.4 x 8.4 ft to 5.4 x 10.7 ft to 6.7 x 10.7 ft. Each model offers a standard max. print height of 1.97 in., but the optional Bridge Lift expands possible print height to 11.8 in. for print applications on boxes, furniture, packaging, cookware, and more.

The F200 HS and F160L HS’s vacuum systems are divided into eight independently controlled zones (the F160 HS offers four zones); the table is also equipped with an external vacuum connection. Users can configure the pump inside or outside of the print room, or choose a configuration without a vacuum pump. The tandem option in the two larger models allows operators to load material on one side of the machine while the other side is being printed.

Additional features include crash sensors, anti-static control, and an open cleaning station that allows unobstructed access to the printheads. The series’ UV lamp power is adjustable for different print speeds and media types.

Each model is offered with Qpro print software and Qrip software. Caldera GrandRIP+ V10 software and Colorgate Productionserver 9 are optional additions.
