Roland DGA Expands SOLJET Media Line

And drops prices on glossy adhesive vinyl and banner material

Big Picture

Roland DGA has broadened its line of SOLJET Certified Media (SCM) with 73-in. and 36-in. wide rolls of Glossy Banner material. The company has also announced a 20% decrease in the price of the Glossy Banner and Adhesive Vinyl materials.

Roland's SCM products are designed to yield optimal results with Roland SOL INK, the low-volatile, solvent-based ink used by SOLJET and SOLJET Pro II printers and printer/cutters. According to Roland product manager Laura Wilson, the price cuts can help lower the production costs of signmakers printing durable outdoor graphics.

Roland's Glossy Banner material (SCM-SPVCB) is a 14-mil, waterproof scrim vinyl that can be hemmed and grommeted for indoor or outdoor banners. Newly reduced prices are $449.95 for a 73-in. x 49-ft roll, $374.95 for a 50-in. x 66-ft roll, and $229.95 for a 36-in. x 49-ft roll.

The Glossy Adhesive Vinyl (SCM-SPVCG) is a 3-mil vinyl with a semi-permanent adhesive suitable for use on sign surfaces that don't have rivets, irregular curves or indentations. It can image in numerous print modes and is durable with or without lamination. The 50-in. x 66-ft roll now lists for $269.95. (Roland DGA, Irvine, CA: 800-542-2307, www.rolanddga.com)
