Big Picture

In the early 1990s, pigments ground fine enough for use in most inkjet printers were not readily available. The first aqueous pigmented inks were introduced in the mid-1990s by Encad for thermal inkjets and Roland DGA for piezo inkjets. DuPont developed the aqueous pigmented inks for the first warranted outdoor-durable inkjet graphics. These were initially branded as Encad GO (Graphic Outdoor), but are now sold to NovaJet users under the DuPont Fusion? brand name.
