Wrapped for a Cause

Vector Media and Carisma team up to create crave-worthy bus wraps.

Big Picture

When Corner Bakery Café decided to promote this past summer's Share our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign by covering a Washington, D.C.-based double-decker bus with photos of food, the company got in touch with outdoor advertising specialist Vector Media. Vector Media then turned to Brooklyn print shop Carisma (www.4carisma.com) to produce this themed decoration.

"The buses were built in New York," says Fran Gidalowitz, Carisma. "Before they left New York and went to D.C., our design team took the measurements and created the digital templates for each individual vehicle."

Carisma printed the crave-worthy bus wrap (and, for this job, seat back covers) on 3M IJ3552C media with their Seiko ColorPainter H-74s solvent printer. EGI, based in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, installed the wraps in D.C.
