More environmentally friendly inks for outdoor graphics. "Every printer claiming to direct print on vinyl uses some solvents in their inks--no matter what their advertising says," claims Seiko's Ryan. "If anyone has any doubts about this, they should simply read the label on the ink bottle or ask the manufacturer for the ingredient list." Looking forward, he says the trend will be to "clean-up our inksets without losing our advantages in costs, color, resolution, or durability."
