The new AGL Auto Trim III cutter will automatically edge trim laminated prints as they exit the laminator. The Auto Trim is designed to be placed directly behind the laminator. The media feeds into the Auto Trim, which automatically adjusts to the speed of the laminator.

Units are available in four widths: 28, 39, 51, and 64 in. All models offer an accuracy repeatable to 0.001 in., a self-sharpening rotary blade for clean cuts, sealed-edge trim and bleed trim with unlimited margins, and custom photo optics capable of penetrating opaque materials.

Options include a flat feed for heavy films and high-speed applications, graphics packages to sense registration marks in the web, a floor stand with swivel and locking casters, and a multicut that allows for multiple cuts for converting printed sheets with numerous images.

AGL has been manufacturing laminating equipment for more than 50 years. The company recently began distributing the ProFinish? line of laminating films for the digital imaging market. (Advanced Greig Laminators: www.aglinc.com)
