Flatbed accommodates media up to 10-mm thick.
Azon has introduced its new flatbed/rollfed machine, the FB 1800. Accommodating media up to 73-in. wide and 10-mm thick, the solvent/mild-solvent printer features six Seiko SPT255 35-pl heads and CMYKcm inks (available in 1- or 5-l tanks).
Print modes and speeds range from 240 x 540 dpi in 3-passes (183 sq ft/hr) to 720 x 720 dpi in 8-pass mode (54 sq ft/hr). The printer is compatible with PS, vinyl, flex, polyester, backlit film, and window film, as well as plexiglass and PVC boards. It also has a thermoforming option.
The FB 1800 is armed with rollfed and flatbed capabilities (flatbed tables). Other features include low-ink detector, auto or manual ink-supply system, pre-heating and drying systems, positive- and negative-pressure cleaning/flash flush/capping system, and SAi PhotoPrint (the printer is also compatible with Valloy Topaz, Wasatch, and Caldera RIPs).

Also new is the 126-in. AG-3200, a solvent rollfed/sheetfed printer with 1000-ml tanks for CMYKcm inks. Using six Seiko IRH 1513D printheads, the AG-3200 features six print modes and ranges from a top speed of 1103 sq ft/hr in Draft mode (360 x 180 dpi), to 551 sq ft/hr in Standard mode (360 x 360 dpi), to a speed of 166 sq ft/hr in High Quality 720 x 720-dpi mode.
The printer also features auto media-feed and take-up systems, auto head cleaning, adjustable preheating, post-heating, and cooling fan, and SAi PhotoPrint 5.0 DX RIP.
