Digital visualization tool DaVinci Designer (DaVinci) will be featured at the Konica Minolta booth at this year’s Print 17, the largest exhibition for the graphic communications industry set for Sept. 10-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
DaVinci offers an interactive web-based software with advanced design and proofing capabilities. The online designer and digital proofer can add, edit and preview realistic 3D renderings of special finishes on print and packaging designs including foil, spot UV and texture.
“DaVinci Designer makes it simple and straightforward to design and proof specialty finishes and effects,” said Erik Holdo, vice president of IP/PP Line of Business, Konica Minolta. “Through this software, clients can easily see the depth and dimensionality of a spot varnish or accurate folding of a packaging design.”
Konica Minolta, a provider of business and industrial imaging products, is an authorized dealer and reseller of the DaVinci Designer software for print resellers and print providers. The web-to-print software will be displayed at the Konica Minolta Booth #2031 as the preferred designer for its MGI digital print finishing machines producing spot UV and texture finishes, etc.
A product of Opensoft Inc., DaVinci can be fully integrated into existing e-commerce sites with applications for security printing features, textiles and promotional items. The web-to-print solution powers e-commerce sites like Rent A Press, a wholesale trade printer, and OvernightPrints, an online printing company.
