Also introduces the Rho P10 250HS flatbed.
Durst has introduced two new presses: the Rho 312R UV roll printer, and the Rho P10 250HS flatbed.
The three-meter (10.5-ft) Rho 312R is equipped with Durst’s 12-pL Quadro Array printhead technology – complete with the company’s Variodrop and grayscale technology. It can hit print speeds up to 2500 sq ft/hr (1300 sq ft/hr in Quality Production mode, and 750 sq ft/hr in Backlit mode) and offers a top resolution of 900 dpi. Standard inkset is CMYK, with optional light cyan, light magenta, white, and Process Color Additions (orange, violet). Durst indicates that the Rho Roll Inks are VOC-free and have received Nordic Swan certified for indoor/outdoor; the ink pigments are classified at Blue Wool scale 8.
Workflow options on the Rho 312R include an integrated border cutting system, textile printing for mesh without liner, simultaneous dual-roll printing, and double-sided printing. Applications range from backlits and fine-art prints to P-O-P, banners, wallpaper, façade decoration, and more.
Also new from Durst is the 98-in. Rho P10 250HS flatbed. The machine features 10-pL Quadro Array printheads with double the number of nozzles in the Rho P10 200/250; in addition, they feature LED pin curing in combination with conventional UV drying – the result, reports Durst, is a top print speed of 4000 sq ft/hr. Other features include: Durst Variodrop technology; a CMYK inkset standard (optional light cyan and magenta, plus white and Process Color Additions); max resolution of 1000 dpi; the ability to print on two parallel boards/panels simultaneously; an external Caldera RIP server; and more.
