Instant PDF is now compatible with Adobe CS3.
Enfocus has introduced PitStop Server 4.5 and Instant PDF 4.1, providing improvements to each product.
PitStop Server 4.5 now offers a re-organized user interface that features easy access to hot-folder setups, files in process, and a complete history log. Altering a folder’s priority or disabling it requires only a single mouse click. Processed file histories, including per-job detailed reports, can be filtered and exported in different formats for statistical analysis.
In addition, the server-based processing function allows the program to run as a service on Windows and a login item for Mac OS X 10.4. This function enables users to begin processing jobs without launching the PitStop Server 4.5 user interface. The new PitStop Server WatchDog, a background application, keeps the workflow active at all times the program is running. Version 4.5 also offers multiple-processor support and Windows Vista compatibility.
The latest version of Instant PDF is now Adobe CS3 compatible; the "Save as Certified PDF" option is available for In-Design CS3 and Illustrator CS3. Without leaving the design applications, users can create, preflight, and modify PDF files where necessary with Instant PDF 4.1. The program also offers an improved e-mail Server Account Settings to provide a user name and password when connecting to a mail server for sending e-mails. Instant PDF 4.1 is compatible with the latest OS X 10.5 version.
