Because UV-curable inks are generally thicker and more difficult to jet than solvent-based inks, it remains to be seen whether UV-curable inks can be jetted in small enough drop sizes and high enough speeds to satisfy an outdoor graphics market that is moving toward six-color, 720-dpi printing as a standard. Industry experts agree that image-quality expectations will continue to rise for both indoor and outdoor printers.
