For use with Gerber printers
Gerber has announced two new overlaminates:
EZ Guard and Luster. Both are
designed for use with Gerber printers and
are integrated into its Matched Technology
System.
Gerber EZ Guard is a liquid laminate
for use with graphics printed on the Gerber
Solara UV, Edge, Edge 2, Edge FX, Maxx
2, Jester, and Elan XL. Compatible with
solvent and mild-solvent inks, it's easy to
apply and clean up, and is non-yellowing.
The laminate can be applied with standard
rollers found at any hardware store.
Produced for Gerber by 3M, Gerber Luster
is a clear 2-mil, glossy PVC-based overlaminate
designed to be used with graphics
produced with Gerber Eco Plus inks and
Gerber Elan solvent inks. It is also approved
for use with MacDermid ColorSpan Display-
Maker 72S, Mimaki JV3 series, Seiko Color-
Painter 64S, and other solvent inkjet printers.
Available in three widths, Luster is a
pressure-sensitive cold laminate for use
with roll laminators. It's suitable for applications
that feature compound curves, corrugations,
or riveted surfaces. (Gerber Scientific Products: www.gspinc.com)
