Former Kodak exec brings solid track record with digital equipment
Gerber Scientific Products has named Mike Wash as executive director of marketing and product management. He will be responsible for creating and implementing product and marketing strategies and report to company president Elaine Pullen.
"Mike Wash is a performance-driven executive with strong leadership and strategic skills," says Pullen. "And he comes to Gerber Scientific Products with a solid record of successfully bringing digital equipment and consumable products to market."
Wash joins Gerber from Eastman Kodak Co. where he spent 26 years. During his stay at Kodak, he held numerous positions in engineering, technology development, and operations; and then later was involved in technical and development. Most recently, Wash was worldwide general manager of Kodak's digital-photo finishing equipment business. Under his direction, the business unit produced more than $2 billion in services revenue for the consumer-imaging division.
Wash has also held engineering-management positions at Colorado Memory Systems of Loveland, CO and Combtye, Inc.
Purdue University is where Wash earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He holds 17 patents, one of which earned the 1996 US National Inventor of the Year award.
