New Papers and drivers deliver high-quality proofs.
GMG debuted ColorProof drivers for the HP Z3200 and Epson Stylus Pro 7900/990 printers. The new drivers allow users to take advantage of all the benefits of internal spectrophotometers, along with the expanded color gamuts of extended ink sets. They also create a complete proof-verification system, allowing automatic monitoring and recalibration of the printer, ensuring that every proof leaving the printers is a high-quality contract proof.
In addition, GMG introduced two new papers for the company's popular proofing solutions. The new substrates are designed for high-quality proofing and boast excellent paper tint accuracy, particularly high ink limits, and very good drying properties. GMG ProofPaper gloss 250 is a high-quality proofing paper for simulation on glossy materials highly suitable for contract proofs. It's particularly suited to proofing high-quality glossy brochures, because the visual impression is close to the end product. Compared to other gloss papers, GMG ProofPaper gloss 250 has a consistent paper tint and can accept a large amount of ink, delivering a very large color space. GMG ProofPaper matte 140, with a bright white point and few optical brighteners, is well suited for commercial printing, as profiles are available for the ISO 29, 30, and 32 standards. It is also a low-cost option for high-quality proofs on uncoated stock for gravure printers.
