Awards add new Interactive Display category.
Inca Digital has launched its second Inca Digital Excellence Awards (IDEAS 2012), which recognizes the power of digital print and showcases the creativity and ingenuity of Inca customers around the world.
“We were very impressed with the quality and innovation of the entries submitted for IDEAS 2010, not only printed by our Inca Onset models but also by our Spyder and Columbia Turbo models….” says Linda Bell, Inca Digital CEO. “We are extremely proud of our business as developers and manufacturers of groundbreaking printers, and the IDEAS are a great way to celebrate what makes our global customers proud of their own businesses.”
Inca has extended the award categories for the 2012 awards “to reflect the broad array of impressive products that Inca customers are creating today,” says Heather Kendle, Inca Digital’s sales and marketing director. The judges will base their decision on a combination of quality, innovation, and creativity across these six categories:
• Display Graphics;
• 3D P-O-S;
• Retail Interiors;
• Decor and Furniture;
• Product Decoration; and
• Interactive Display.
The Interactive Display category is a new category for the awards. “We are seeing a rapid growth in the use of Interactive Displays where companies are merging digital print with screens, projectors, and video, as well as the clever use of QR codes to create powerful installations” says Kendle. “We expect to see some very interesting entries in this section.”
The six category winners will receive an IDEAS trophy and an expenses-paid, two-night trip to Las Vegas to attend next year’s SGIA Expo (October 18-20, 2012).
Entries must have been produced using an Inca digital printer, between May 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012. There is no restriction as to the substrates or consumables used.
Full IDEAS competition details and online entry can be found at incadigital.com/ideas2012. Closing date for entries is July 31, 2012, and winners will be announced during the SGIA Expo in Las Vegas.
