Adobe-hosted event split into two tracks.
Adobe Systems Inc. will host the Ideas Conference, a day-long event aimed at creative professionals and educators working in design, advertising, publishing and professional photography, in New York on April 4. Taking place at the Grand Hyatt, the event will include presentations and panels that involve design-industry notables as well as major brands.
The Ideas Conference is split into two tracks: New Thinking and Adobe Live. The New Thinking track will include sessions on brand building, how design technology is affecting brands, digital asset management and collaboration, digital photography and its impact on the design process, and how variable data publishing (VDP) is allowing brands to infiltrate niche markets. Adobe Live will include sessions on Adobe Creative Suite and other market-leading Adobe products, including Adobe Photoshop CS, Adobe InDesign CS, Adobe Illustrator CS, Adobe GoLive CS, Adobe Acrobat 7.0, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition.
Participating companies and organizations include AIGA, Chopping Block, Columbia Sportswear, F+W Publications, Gawker Media, Google, Landor Design, Medium Footwear, MTV Networks, Pentagram Design, Tomato, and Showtime.
