To aid in graphics installation and package prototyping
Clear mounting film: InteliCoat's Cleartak mounting film converts almost any type of inkjet-printed substrate into an adhesive-backed, ready-to-mount graphic. The optically clear material can be used to affix promotional and decorative graphics to surfaces such as beverage coolers, windows, and Plexiglas?.
After the high-tack side of the film has been applied to the image side of the media, the low-tack side of the graphic can be applied to the mounting surface with either a squeegee or a roller. The low-tack adhesive makes the graphic easy to remove when the promotion is over.
InteliCoat product manager Ed McCarron notes that with Cleartak, "Virtually any media product can become adhesive-backed on an on-demand basis." This can help print sites reduce both inventory levels and materials costs.
Soft package mock-up film: InteliCoat's X-Vinyl is a soft, pliable vinyl that can be printed and heat-welded to create design prototypes and mock-ups of soft packages used for many consumer goods. The 3-mil cast vinyl can be finished with Magic DMFTP Fluorex? Brand Protection, an ultra-thin transferable fluoroplymer that enhances the durability and life expectancy of inkjet graphics and reduces the effects of UV light, surface contamination, surface abrasion, and even graffiti. After images are inkjet printed directly on the media, a hot iron can be used to weld the edges together into a finished package prototype.
