The inks are ejected in liquid form, and then solidify when exposed to controlled intensities of ultraviolet light. Most digital printers that use UV-curable inks carry UV-curing lamps on the same mechanism that moves the printhead back and forth. Some UV-curable inks contain solvents that release VOCs when solvents are evaporated during curing.
