Improved fade-resistance combined with wide color gamut

The dye set used in Lyson's LightProof inks for Encad Novajets combines improved fade resistance with the vibrancy that standard Novajet inks are known for. Prints output with LightProof Inks may last for up to 25 years indoors without discoloration or fading. According to Lyson, the inks simulate process colors with a high degree of accuracy and laminate well.
First-time users of the Lyson LightProof inks must install a "chip ribbon" supplied in the starter kit. The ribbon can be installed on NovaJet 500/600/700 series printers in less than five minutes and requires no additional maintenance. Users can then use chip-less cartridges, which can be refilled as needed from one-liter bottles of ink. According to Lyson's Tony Martin, the cost savings over traditional Encad cartridges can be dramatic. (Lyson: www.lyson.com)
