Salvages and repairs Quark documents.
Markzware has announced MarkzTools 6, a Quark XTension that converts higher versions to lower versions, salvages bad files, and maintains document integrity.
Available in both Mac and Windows versions, MarkzTools 6 will salvage or repair many corrupted document files, as well as open higher version documents such as QuarkXPress 6.0 documents while inside QuarkXPress 5.5 or below.
Updated features include:
"? The ability to convert Quark 6 documents directly to Quark 4 documents (without the need to have Quark 5 loaded).
"? The prevention of bad documents from occurring through the use of a special temp file.
"? Recovery of text data from badly damaged or corrupt documents.
"? Conversion of picture previews to gray, allowing users to archive a Quark document more easily by reducing document size while still keeping links intact.
"? The ability to retain or assign a Color Label applied to a document in the finder.
"? Recovery of bad or corrupt Quark documents.
