For Mamiya 645 and Pentax 67 camera bodies.
Lensbabies has introduced its Medium Format Lensbaby 3G, the latest version of the company's selective-focus lens. Available for Mamiya 645 and Pentax 67 camera bodies, the Lensbaby 3G allows photographers to lock it in a desired bent position by simply pressing a button. Photographers can then do fine focusing and precisely place the 'sweet spot' of sharp focus before pressing the shutter release. The Mamiya version of the Medium Format Lensbaby 3G features an 80mm fixed focal length and possible aperture settings ranging from f/3.4 to f/39. The Pentax version has a 100mm fixed focal length and has aperture settings ranging from f/4 to f/45. Price: $399. (Standard-format Lensbaby 3G lenses are also available.)
In addition, the company debuted the Creative Aperture Kit, for use with its Lensbaby 3G and Lensbaby 2.0 Single Lens Reflex lenses. Each kit contains one star-shaped aperture disk, one heart-shaped disk, and five blank disks that can be fashioned into custom shapes using a shaped paper punch or knife; all the disks are made of metalicized plastic. By using the Creative Aperture disks, points of light in the out-of-focus areas of the photo will take on the shape of the hole in the aperture disk. Price: $9.99.
