Specially designed for use with Gatorfoam, Fome-Cor, and Sintra
For a long time, these aqueous dye and aqueous pigmented inks required substrates with different types of receptor coatings. (So did inkjets with thermal and piezo head technologies.) Many highly specialized coatings still exist for the most demanding requirements of aqueous dye and aqueous pigmented inks, but in general, the graphics-production marketplace has embraced more "universal" coatings that can work on whatever mix of thermal and piezo inkjet printers a graphics producer happens to have in the shop. This helps keep media inventories at a manageable level.
