Highly resistant to cracking, flexible enough to bend and stretch over frames.
Dura Textiles Inkjet Artist Canvases have been added to the inkAID line of fine-art products. Designed for high-end art reproduction and photographic portraiture, the canvases are made of 100% gesso cotton and have a white matte, water-resistant, inkjet-receptive coating that is acid-free and pH neutral. They’re compatible with dye-based or pigmented inks, and are highly resistant to cracking and flexible enough to bend and stretch over frames without sagging, the company reports.
Three textured patterns are offered: 11- or 13-oz fine textured archival, 16-oz Ultra-Smooth archival, and 11-oz Linen Weave archival. Currently available in rolls from 17- to 54-in. wide; a 60-in.-wide roll will be available in 2007.
