i1Xtreme and i1Basic provide a number of features.

X-Rite, Incorporated has unveiled its new i1 line of color-management and calibration solutions, including the i1Xtreme and the i1Basic.

The i1Xtreme solution is designed to accurately profile monitors, RGB & CMYK printers, scanners, digital projectors, and digital cameras, and is geared for fine art and commercial photographers, high-end graphic design production, and prepress professionals. With i1XTreme, users are able to not only obtain accurate color on all the devices in their digital workflow, but they can also capture spot colors and flash/ambient light. i1XTreme includes: the i1 spectrophotometer; i1Match profiling software for all devices; i1Share software for creating, evaluating and communicating color; a beamer holder; a scanner profiling chart; interactive training modules; a digital Pantone library; a soft carrying case; and a $400 upgrade voucher valid toward any one of the MonacoProfiler or ProfileMaker software solutions.

The i1Basic is an affordable, upgradeable, professional spectral color-measurement solution and monitor profiler. i1Basic allows creative and prepress professionals to scan spectral color, obtain accurate color on all displays, linearize their printers through support of leading RIPs, and easily add new profiling functionality to meet their growing needs with new affordable upgrade modules. i1Basic includes an i1 spectrophotometer, i1Match software limited to monitor profiling only, i1Share freeware to capture flash and ambient light, and a 50% discount voucher valid towards the purchase of any single i1Match software module. Additional software modules, such as a module for printer profiling, are available as separate purchases for i1Basic.

Both i1Xtreme and i1Basic are available with either the UV Cut or No Filter i1Pro spectral measurement device.
