New Lenses from Pentax

Each lens features a Quick-shift Focus System.


Pentax has introduced five lens models. Each lens features a Quick-shift Focus System, enabling users to switch from auto focus to manual and the Pentax Super Protect (SP) coating to protect the lens from grease, water, and dust.

The smc Pentax DA* 200mm f/2.8 ED (IF) SDM has a focal length equivalent to 300mm in 35mm format and the smc Pentax DA* 300mm f/4 ED (IF) SDM has a focal length of 450mm in the 35mm format. Both use the SDM motor system, which is designed for smoother, quieter autofocusing.

Additionally, Pentax has introduced the smc Pentax DA 35mm f/2.8 Macro Limited with a focal length equivalent to 52.5 mm in the 35mm format and a one-to-one magnification in a normal focal length, and the smc Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED with a focal length equivalent to 82.5mm and 450mm in the 35mm format. The company also updated the standard smc Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL II with improved resolution to match higher resolution sensors. The lens has a focal length equivalent to 27mm to 82.5mm in the 35mm format.
