80-in. QS220 can produce 4- or 6-color images (CMYKcm) with High-Definition Print (HDP) quality
EFI has unveiled the Vutek QS220, a direct-to-substrate, UV-curing flatbed printer with High-Definition Print (HDP) quality.
The 80-in. QS220 can produce 4- or 6-color images (CMYKcm), utilizing inks (3.25-liter containers) optimized for use with 3M-brand substrates. It also features a seventh channel with white ink in six variations—overprint, underprint, spot, underspot, fill, and overspot.
Top speed is 750 sq ft/hr (or 16 4 x 8-ft sheets/hr); top resolution is 1080 dpi. The QS220 can accommodate media up to 80-in. wide, and flexible or rigid materials up to 2-in. thick.
Other features include:
• EFI’s Fiery XF RIP;
• Optional roll-to-roll capablity, allowing for changeover to print on flexible and rigid substrates in less than one minute; and
• A relatively small footprint of 186.5 (w, including tables) x 65.5 (d) x 64.75 (h) in.; 5500 lbs.
