Helps printers deliver higher value and achieve greater success

NexPress now offers FastStart, a new series of programs to educate commercial print businesses to take full advantage of digital color printing. This series of trainings and consulting services will help press operators, print designers, and print buyers gain additional skills and knowledge on topics such as variable data printing, Web-to-print fulfillment, database development, and workflow productivity.

"Our mission is to help educate these businesses about how they can take advantage of digital color printing to deliver higher value and achieve greater success," says Chris Payne, chief marketing officer and vice-president of NexPress Solutions. According to Payne, the topics covered in the program are based on feedback from NexPress 2100 users.

The first FastStart program available is on variable data printing (VDP). This two-day training will take place at the users' site and covers topics such as preparing and managing VDP projects, VDP workflows, and database and mailing requirements. The VDP program is available in North America now; it will be available worldwide soon.

NexPress is a joint venture between Eastman Kodak Company and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. It was created in 1998 to develop, manufacture, and market digital production printing solutions and materials. (NexPress: 585-726-1824; www.nexpress.com)
