Oracal USA will host its 75th Professional Wrapping Academy October 18-19 at Image Graphics 2000 in Pompano Beach, FL.
Designed to educate attendees on the best practice methods in applying the company's digital media and laminating films, this two-day hands-on course also covers the business aspects of succeeding in the competitive vehicle-wrap market, Oracal reports. The class, sponsored by Tubelite, will be led by Wade Davis, owner of Image Graphics 2000 (www.igx2000.com), which is an active member of the Professional Decal Applicators Association (PDAA) as well as the United Association Standards Group, and an affiliate of the Fleet Advertising Media Group. Oracal staff will also be on hand to assist in instruction and answer technical product questions.
The class takes place just before PDAA's Wrap Quest event, which also will be held at the Image Graphics 2000 facility. 'Although the Wrapping Academy event is not officially connected with the PDAA event, both are timed around the SGIA show to encourage attendance from visitors making the trip to that show,' says David Grant, Oracal USA marketing vice president.
Price to attend the Wrapping Academy course: $499, which includes registration, lunch and snacks, product samples, literature, and an Oracal Tool Bag with wrapping tools and Oracal promotional items.
In 2008, says Grant, the company plans to expand and enhance the Wrapping Academy for both beginners and experienced installers, offering more opportunities to learn using the latest materials and techniques.
