10.2-Mpxl camera features Shake Reduction system.
Pentax has announced its K10D digital SLR. A 10.2-Mpxl camera, the K10D features: a 23.5 x 15.7mm CCD; a Shake Reduction system to generate blur-free images; a newly developed Pentax Real Image Engine to produce well-balanced images and enhance image processing; a new dust-removal system that includes a shift mechanism to shake dust off the CCD; and a weather-resistant body construction. The camera can capture RAW and JPEG images simultaneously. Six built-in digital filters are included to allow for easier image editing: black-and-white, sepia, slim, soft, brightness, and color. Price: $999.95, with the DA 18-55mm lens ($899.95 without it).
In addition, Pentax announced its smc Pentax-DA 70mm F2.4 Limited lens, featuring a medium-telephoto perspective and an ultra-thin design. The lens, which weighs in at just 130 grams (4.5 oz), is geared for applications ranging from portraits to landscapes. Price: approximately $600.
