Formerly Alcan, the manufacturer offers several rigid substrates for direct-print with large-format printers. Its newest addition, Omni-Flute, is a recyclable polypropylene sheet designed for short-term signage and P-O-P displays. It features a smooth, treated surface that accepts direct digital printing and repositionable vinyl, and can be die- or knife-cut. Available in bright white, black, and natural (clear) colors; various sizes.
e-panel, an aluminum composite material (ACM) made of two pre-painted sheets of 0.008-in. aluminum with a solid polyethylene core. Masked on both sides, it’s suitable for direct digital print, and can be saw cut, routed, or punched. In 2-mm white (4 x 8-ft sheets), 3-mm white (4 x 8-, 5 x 10-ft sheets), and 4-mm white (4 x 8-ft sheets).
Alucobond ACM consists of two smooth 0.020-in. aluminum facers thermobonded to various thicknesses of polyethylene forming a prefinished panel. In 3-, 4-, and 6-mm thick sheets up to 62 x 196 in., and in various colors and finishes.
Dibond consists of two sheets of 0.012-in. aluminum bonded to a polyethylene core. Pre-painted with a polyester finish, it’s available in 2-, 3-, and 4-mm thicknesses and in sizes up to 60 x 120 in. and is compatible with solvent and UV-curable printers.
