Roland DGA has announced VersaWorks Version 3.0, which offers new productivity features for advanced and high-volume shops using the company’s wide-format inkjet machines.
Based on the latest Adobe CPSI engine, VersaWorks 3.0 allows users to manage up to four Roland devices simultaneously. It includes a new PerfCut function that enables users to produce precision perforated cut lines as well as a single-pass print mode and conventional dual-pass mode for white-ink applications for users of the Roland VersaUV and SolJet Pro III XC-540.
Other tools include: a Roland Color System for precise spot-color matching, a Max Impact Preset for richer color contrast; and variable data printing. VersaWorks also features embedded ICC profile support, ink-level adjustment tools, soft-proofing capabilities, and advanced cropping, tiling, and nesting options.
VersaWorks 3.0 supports Roland’s latest inkjet printers and printer/cutters including AdvancedJet, Hi-Fi Express, SolJet and VersaCamm lines as well as new VersaArt and VersaUV models. In addition, VersaWorks 3.0 offers support for Roland’s GX series cutters allowing users to pair a Roland cutter with a VersaArt printer for print/cut applications. VersaWorks 3.0 supports Windows 2000/XP and Vista.
It is available free for download by Roland users through the Roland@NET Online Update service.
