SCP has released version 3.8 of its DaylightRIP for large-format inkjet printers. Supporting PostScript, PDF, and HPGL files, this software is ICC-compatible and can be calibrated via its own 3D closed-loop calibration or with a spectrophotometer.
New features with v. 3.8 include: a new color engine that fully supports l*a*b color space; automated nesting in the RIP server; a new viewer/editor with a 1:1 spy window, text insertion, eraser, and other functionalities; an on-screen printer gamut limitation warning; soft proofing; enhanced printer emulation with TruCAD; and new printer drivers for the Graphtec JW-1000 and JW-1100 printers.
Based in Germany, SCP has its US offices in Rockdale, TX. (SCP Software Company: www.scp-america.com)
