GeoNova Publishing has launched StockMaps.com, an online source for licensing premium stock-map content. The new service offers base maps for custom map creation, as well as market-ready finished maps for media, marketing, publishing, and display. A searchable archive offers thousands of raster as well as editable-vector-map files; content is designed for use in either traditional or new media. Rights-managed and royalty-free images are available.
First-time visitors to the site can search the archive immediately using keywords, established categories, and geographic search. Once registered, users have the ability to conduct advanced searches, save the results of individual searches, process payment, and receive licensed images via digital delivery. The site also offers search assistance, free research, and custom map-development services.
