New from Teckwin is the PQ-300, a UV flatbed that can accommodate materials up to 98 x 57 in. and rigid substrates up to 4-in. thick. Standard configuration is 6 colors (CMYKcm) + white + varnish; it’s also available with CMYK + white and CYMY + varnish. Top print speed is 382 sq ft/hr (205 sq ft/hr in Normal mode); it offers a resolution of up to 720 x 1440 dpi.
Features include: Spectra printheads; over, under, and inline white printing; 45-degree print-positioning system; an industrial-grade, low-noise vacuum system; LED light table for backlit printing; Caldera RIP software; and more. A roll-to-roll option is available (flexible materials up to 86 in.).
At ISA Expo 2014, Teckwin also offered a technology demo of its upcoming TeckStorm TS300GS UV printer. Capable of hitting speeds up to 783 sq ft/hr, the machine can accommodate materials up to 98.5 x 59 in.; top resolution is 794 x 1600 dpi. Available with 4 to 7 colors, including white. The TS300GS features a Caldera RIP. Teckwin indicates it is looking at a Q4 2014 debut for this printer.
