MetaCommunications has introduced its new Workgroups 2009 software-the latest release of the company’s flagship product, an integrated process and productivity management suite for prepress, creative, and publishing.
The product now integrates with Mac OS X Leopard and comprises four core components: Job Manager, a suite of financial-management tools that enable users to create estimates and quotes, monitor job costs, generate on-demand reporting and invoices, and share information with accounting systems; Virtual Ticket, which brings together components such as project briefs, job tickets, schedules, customer information, and associated document files into a central location; Approval Manager, for managing, tracking, and scheduling a proof review process within and across marketing, creative, and production environments; and Digital Storage Manager, designed to integrate file management into the creative and production workflow.
