New features address converting.
Wasatch has debuted SoftRIP Version 7.0, which is the company’s first release to specifically address converting. It offers support for rotary-cutting equipment as well as enhanced die-cutting features for bleeds and round corners on digital cutters. Version 7.0 also features a new XML-based interface that makes it possible for users to control SoftRIP via HTML and JavaScript running entirely in a Web browser, or via customized network software or XML hot folders. Customized user interfaces can be made to run on any computer, iPad, or smartphone, and anywhere in a facility or on the Internet.
Also new is the company’s Version 2.0 of Wasatch Variable Data Printing (VDP). The new release boasts new features including: variable QR Codes and special rendering features for barcode print quality, plus a new Fast Layout Tool that allows for automatic generation of up to 10,000 variable labels.
