The new product features a permanent acrylic adhesive and polyester release liner designed to maintain the highest clarity, Lintec reports, and “was developed for use as an alternative to rigid sheets such as polycarbonate or acrylic [and] designed to prevent color shifting of the protected image to maintain the original color and appearance of the image.”

Drupa will maintain its four-year cycle, the drupa Committee has announced. Although the committee had been considering going to a three-year cycle beginning in 2015, it finally decided that the time was not right to change its frequency.
The length of the event, however, has been shortened to 11 days – meaning the next drupa will take place May 31 to June 10, 2016.
Inca Digital announced the winners of its second Inca Digital Excellence Awards (IDEAs) at a dinner event during the recent SGIA Expo.
Created to “celebrate the creative and remarkable effects and products produced by innovative companies throughout the world using Inca printers,” the company’s IDEAs Awards comprised six categories: Display Graphics, 3D P-O-S, Retail Interiors, Interactive Display, Décor & Furniture and Product Decoration.

The Golden Image competition recognizes industry-leading excellence and covers various categories created by specialty imaging. Each submission was eligible to earn one of four awards:

• Award of Distinction (Silver), awarded for exemplary quality;

Innova Art’s new JetMaster Direct Print is an alternative to traditional stretched canvas-type art.
Compatible with UV inks, JetMaster Direct Print features a 2.2-mm, die-cut board (double-walled corrugated with PSA back layer) that has a printable surface on the face and a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back. The face-side printing surface is a special-coated white paper that does not crack when the frame is folded. After printing, the release liner is removed and the product is folded into the finished frame.
